Counselor
Mental Health Therapist — Full-time, Rockford or Lake in the Hills
About Us
Transformations Counseling PLLC is seeking a full-time therapist at our Rockford or Lake in the Hills location. This is a W2 employee position requiring 25 client hours per week. Our mission is to help individuals, children, couples, and families overcome the impact of overwhelming emotions and behaviors through face-to-face and online sessions.
Required Experience & Skills
- 1–3 years of work experience in a related field preferred
- Performs diagnostic assessments of clients
- Willing to work a minimum of 2 evenings a week and 2 Saturdays a month
- Performs individual, group, family, and clinical consultation, meeting treatment plan requirements
- Prepares and maintains accurate case notes, staffing, and therapy reports
- Maintains knowledge of current trends in the field and attends training programs
- Secures client information per HIPAA standards
- Comfortable diagnosing, treatment planning, and delivering evidence-based interventions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with secure online platforms for video-based clients
- Experience with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults
- Knowledge of CBT, DBT, or EMDR Therapy
Education & Licenses
- Minimum of a Master's Degree, eligible for licensure in Illinois (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field)
- Valid driver's license
- LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LPC preferred
- Background check required; must be in good standing with the Illinois licensing board
- Professional liability insurance provided by the practice

Pay
We offer a guaranteed base salary of $35,000 plus a competitive revenue split. Most full-time therapists at our practice earn $72,800–$80,000 per year, with higher earning potential based on client load and availability.
Note: Please only apply if you live near Rockford, Illinois. This position begins in-person for the first 90 days to support training and team integration; hybrid scheduling may be considered afterward based on demonstrated competency.
